We continue to provide general music lessons to the children living at the rescue mission. Although teaching a wide range of ages (3–14) brings its challenges, we are grateful for the opportunity to invest in these children's lives. Our hope and prayer is that with every lesson, they experience more and more of Jesus' love through the gift of music.

Teaching in an openly Christian environment allows us to connect music education with our faith in meaningful ways. We look forward to becoming even more intentional about incorporating Scripture into our music lessons. For example, teaching about the solar system through Gustav Holst's famous orchestral work, The Planets, provides a wonderful opportunity to explore the Genesis account of creation and help children develop a deeper appreciation for God's incredible universe. The possibilities are endless because God's truth is endless!
We invite you to pray for the children and their mothers, many of whom have experienced significant hardship and trauma. Phoenix Rescue Mission does amazing work helping women and their children find healing, regain strength, and prepare to rebuild their lives. We are blessed to serve alongside this organization and to share the love of Jesus through the gift of music.
